The host hotel for this meeting is The Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center, 2345 McGee Street, Kansas City, MO 64108. The room rate in the HAPS block is for $189/night plus taxes and fees. Click HERE to book your reservation. Last day to reserve at the room rate is April 30, 2026.

Fun-Run/Yoga Registration

HAPS is offering pre-registration for anyone interested in participating in the HAPS Fundraising Fun Run OR Yoga. All proceeds will go to HAPS. Make sure to pre-register for the event to receive a discounted rate! On-site registration for the run/yoga will increase to $20. Registration will be available in November of 2025.

Refund Policy
Refund of fees requires an emailed request to info@hapsconnect.org no later than 5 business days before the start of the conference. Refund requests received prior to the conference may not be processed until after the conference end. 

ADS Dissection Workshop – Additional Fee Required

The HAPS Anatomical Donor Stewardship Committee is offering an exciting pre-conference workshop on Saturday, May 23 at the University of Kansas Medical Center (3901 Rainbow Boulevard, Kansas City, KS). This is about a 10-15 minute drive from the host hotel (Sheraton Crown Center).

Attendees will be responsible for arranging for their own transportation and meals.

Registration Pricing:

$100: Single Session – Morning (9 – 12) Thoracic Dissection

$100: Single Session – Afternoon (1 – 4 PM) Abdominopelvic Dissection

$150: All Day (Both Morning and Afternoon Sessions)

Morning (9-12) Thoracic Dissection

• Introduction to basic surgical dissection techniques
• Exposing fascia and delineating musculature
• Anterior thoracic cage removal
• Removal of major organs (heart, lungs) with maximal preservation of adjacent structures
• Exposure of the sympathetic trunk, vagal plexuses, and splanchnic branches
• Common surgical interventions and associated radiology

Afternoon (1-4) Abdominopelvic Dissection

• Introduction to basic surgical dissection techniques
• Exposing fascia and delineating musculature
• Access abdominal cavity through the abdominal wall 
• Abdominal organ identification 
• Exposure of the celiac trunk, superior mesenteric, and inferior mesenteric arteries and their branches.
• Midgut and hindgut removal for exposure of the posterior abdominal wall, abdominal aorta, inferior vena cava, and lumbar plexus.
• Hemisection of the pelvis with identification of reproductive organs and pelvic neurovasculature.
• Common surgical interventions and associated radiology
