AI Task Force

The Human Anatomy & Physiology Society (HAPS) is forming a Task Force on Artificial Intelligence (A.I.). The task force will explore AI in relation to the Society’s mission, with a two-fold charge: (1) to draft a position statement on the use of AI within HAPS, and (2) to initiate one or more professional development activities related to the impacts of AI on the teaching of anatomy and physiology. Such activities may include hosting a town hall, workshop, or poster session; inviting an update speaker; writing a blog; suggesting a book club; or evaluating whether a standing AI committee is needed or if AI oversight should be integrated into an existing committee.

The AI task force will explore the challenges, opportunities, and ethical considerations of A.I. in teaching and learning. We welcome diverse perspectives—whether you’re skeptical, cautious, curious, or fully embracing A.I.
