Visit Rome’s La Sapienza University’s History of Medicine and Pathological Anatomy Museums; the 16th century Mummies of Ferentillo, Umbria; and Ostia Antica, a 2,000-year-old archaeological site rivaling Pompeii, often hailed as the best-preserved ancient city in the world. Enjoy the long-awaited reopening of the La Specola Anatomical Wax Museum, with more than 500 18th-century wax models of incredible anatomical accuracy. In Padua, we’ll walk the halls of Vesalius, Harvey, and Galileo, and also visit the Scrovegni Chapel, one of the most influential fresco cycles in all of European art. Partake in countryside wine tasting, an evening in a charming Umbrian village, and the Renaissance masterpieces of Florence—along with the fountains of Rome, the canals of Venice, and of course, the world’s greatest cuisine. Between these unforgettable experiences, there’s also plenty of free time for personal exploration and relaxation. This expertly curated, small-group journey of only 20 participants fills quickly! Don’t miss out on this culturally rich experience created for the intellectually curious traveler, and anyone eager to discover Italy through a fresh lens, ideal for anatomists and non-anatomists alike!
