Job Description
The Department of Biological Sciences seeks candidates for one year, non-tenure track faculty positions beginning August 2010.
A Masters degree is required; PhD in Anatomy/Physiology or closely related field is preferred. A proven ability to teach university-level lectures and laboratories is required. Teaching assignments will include courses in human anatomy and physiology populated by health science majors. Laboratories include a detailed study of human anatomy utilizing both cat and human cadaveric dissection. Teaching assignment will include five sections of introductory Biology per semester.

Central Michigan University Medical Education (Multiple tenure-track positions, Twelve-month, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor)
Job Description
The Central Michigan University (CMU) College of Medicine invites applications for multiple tenure track positions in the cross disciplinary Department of Medical Education. Successful candidates will assume a role in the development and implementation of a highly integrated, cross disciplinary, clinical presentation and inquiry-based medical school curriculum. Additional duties will include classroom teaching, sustained scholarly activity, serving as course director, and committee service.
Positions will be at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank, depending on credentials. Start date can be mutually arranged, preferably in the fall of 2010. Applicants are being sought in all disciplines of the basic sciences (such as genomics, biochemistry, microbiology), with immediate need in physiology, pharmacology, and immunology.
Required qualifications: Doctoral degree; demonstrated ability to design and implement integrated basic science inquiry; strong collaborative and communication skills; strong commitment to innovative approaches to education and learning; demonstrated commitment to diversity.
